To select the correct knobs for your Marantz 2275, inspect your existing knobs:

• Gen1 Knobs

  • Appearance: No black indicator line on single or outer knob faces; early 1970s design with a smooth finish. Inner knob has a smooth finish with no face.

  • Common Models: Early to mid-1970s 22xx series, such as 2215, 2220, 2230, 2245, 2270, 2325.

  • Best For: Authentic restoration of early receivers.

• Gen2 Knobs

  • Appearance: Black indicator line on single and outer knob faces for better visibility; mid-1970s design. Inner knob remains unchanged (smooth, no face).

  • Common Models: Mid-1970s 22xx and 23xx series, such as 2215B, 2220B, 2230B, 2325.

  • Best For: Improved functionality or matching later models.

How to Identify:

• For single and outer knobs, check for a black indicator line (Gen2) or knurled texture (Gen3). Gen1 has neither.
